Aikwood Tower Wedding Photography: Renna and Steve

What they say:  Ed has captured our wedding day perfectly.  He really knows what he's doing.  We wanted to capture our wedding day in a natural way and his style suited this perfectly; nothing overly posed.

From the early days planning to the main event Ed was on the ball and offered great advice the whole way (a pro at managing guests!).  The pre-wedding shoot really helped make us more comfortable with how the wedding day photos would run. Ed is ridiculously creative and had loads of suggestions for fun shots. We’ve no idea how he even spotted half of the things he did! Thank you!

Renna and Steve had a very special wedding day surrounded by their family and friends at Aikwood Tower, a truly stunning and historical wedding venue in Scotland.

As a recommended wedding supplier at their venue, I was really pleased when Renna and Steve chose me to be their Aikwood Tower wedding photographer. I truly love traveling north of the border to be a wedding photographer in Scotland.

Steve and his groomsmen stayed at nearby Broadmeadows House the night before, where the bride and groom hosted a drinks reception for all their guests.

Aikwood Tower is an exclusive wedding venue in Scotland, meaning it was Renna and Steve’s for their whole wedding weekend. As their wedding photographer, I made sure we were able to make full use of their stunning surroundings and take some truly beautiful outdoor Scottish wedding photographs. The wedding venue with private grounds provided a stunning backdrop for their Aikwood Tower wedding photography.

Renna and Steve’s day was full of personal touches that they had designed and made themselves; “We tried to incorporate our hobby of DIY and making things into the wedding. We created candle holders, the table plan and the arch we got married under meaning we could personalise a lot of the decor. The next day, a lot of the guests took our decor home and it is nice to see them in the homes of friends and family and even meant we could keep some to decorate our new home!”

Their favourite moment of the day was actually the Aikwood Tower wedding photography; “It was so nice to have some quiet time just the two of us and because we knew what to expect from the pre-wedding shoot, we were very relaxed.”

Their advice to brides and grooms is to “set a time where you switch off from organising and just enjoy the day. Ours was the evening before the wedding.”
